Coaches are always needed to provide leadership and guidance for our
athlete league members. Coaching in the Asheville Hockey League
will provide an extremely rewarding opportunity to work along side other inline hockey volunteers to ensure
player development and opportunity in one of the fastest growing sports in America.
The AHL requires all head coaches be USA
Hockey Inline Certified.
It is widely accepted that coaches hold the key to a better sport
experience at all levels of sport.
Coaches are teachers of sport - the rules, skills, and tactics. Coaches are achievement
motivators - helping athletes to reach for difficult, challenging, and
worthwhile goals. Coaches are character developers - they can teach young
people right from wrong, to value themselves as worthy individuals, and to
become leaders inside and outside of sport. Coaches are significant role
models in the lives of young people who value the sport experience.
If you are a responsible, trustworthy, individual with a working knowledge
of inline hockey, we would like you to step forward and volunteer a few
hours a week of your time to become a part of the Asheville youth inline
hockey program. You may send an email to the Asheville Hockey League and we will make
sure you are contacted. You will be required to complete the City of
Asheville coaches application and register with USA Hockey
Inline. A confidiantial background check is conducted by the city for each coaches application recieved.
